Let’s start by saying the obvious: I love cute chunky babies. This is why I have such a sweet spot for little Lawson Duke. He is the definition of an adorable, roll-y baby! If you too love chunksters, I give you permission to skip the rest of my post and peek at his Scottsdale baby portraits!

Yet again, it is bittersweet to see another one of my little newborn babies grow to be a spunky little one. It’s amazing to me how this little guy grew in his momma’s belly, curled up into one of my arms as a newborn and is now a chunk sitting on his own! Lawson is definitely one of my most hip little clients and you can follow his little adventures on his Instagram account!

It’s been such a joy to witness his babyhood at the studio and I am so bummed that he has recently moved to San Francisco. But, I’m excited for his momma’s next steps in her career! Thankfully, I can follow along their new adventures on Instagram! Thank you Lauren, LD and Lawson for letting me be a part of your story; I can’t wait to see what’s in store for your little guy!

I have been so excited to share Jack’s Phoenix baby photography session! The last time I saw Jack was when he was a teeny little newborn. I can’t believe how much his features have changed in 6 short months.

This little dude is OBSESSED with Winnie the Pooh so Mom came with Pooh and friends in hand! These stuffed animals turned out to be the cutest props, especially the classic set of Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet together. It is so cute to see the way Jack’s face lights up when he gets a sight of his Pooh bear. Thankfully, he has an equal love for Pooh songs and videos, which came in handy when he wasn’t interested in pictures anymore!

Thank you Stephanie and Jack for coming to visit me; I am so excited I get to watch your little guy grow up!

Mateo is one of my First Year babies that is growing up way too fast! I feel like he was just in the studio for his newborn session, ready to party instead of sleep. Now, he’s a happy, healthy 6 month old weighing in at a chunky 20 pounds! I’m so glad I got to see him for his Scottsdale baby session.

This little guy has the sweetest personality. Mateo actually came into the studio twice for his 6 month portraits and although he was sick the first time, you wouldn’t have known unless you were his parents! He was sitting up, hanging out and smiling, but when he came back a few weeks later, he was an even happier baby! Mateo has the cutest smile and sweetest baby laugh; it was such a pleasure to see the way he plays with his mommy and daddy!

There’s a soft spot in my heart for my little Baby’s First Year clients. It’s so special following a baby’s journey from the very beginning and capturing them as they reach each of their milestones. By the end of their first year, they truly feel like a part of my family! Sweet Mila is one of First Year babies and let me tell you, with every session she gets cuter and cuter! This session was especially fun because it was her first after she learned to sit up by herself. We sat her down in the grass and we immediately saw her chubby little hand grab a handful of grass and it headed straight for her mouth!

It was perfect that we scheduled this session right before the holidays because Mila’s grandparents were in town and able to come be a part of her session. We were able to capture everyone together as well as some three generation portraits that I know Mila will love looking back on when she’s older. I know these pictures will be priceless to Mila and her family, as they are some of the last they have with her grandfather, who passed this spring. I’m so happy that he was able to come visit and be a part of this family session. Now, Mila will have pictures with her grandpa in her baby album that she can treasure for years to come.

It’s so special when I get to take pictures for people that I know! Taytum’s great grandmother, Di, has been my mom and I’s hairdresser for over 10 years. She is one of the most genuine people, always offering up her positivity and help whenever she can. Going to a hair appointment with her is like sitting down over coffee with an aunt that adores you. So, when Di asked me to do Taytum’s Scottsdale cake smash photos, I couldn’t help but feel honored she thought of me!

The cutest thing about Taytum is seeing her little one year old body do things that you usually see out of a two or three year old! Not only did she start walking early, but she was running around, using little words and listening so well! She was SO well-behaved that it actually took some coaxing to get her to eat her cake. She kept looking at her mom and dad for permission! Taytum’s birthday is in December so we had fun mixing Christmas colors and textures with her nursery colors, turquoise and purple, for her session.
